Change your personal information by yourself

We now give you the possibility to change your email address, your phone number and your postal address all by yourself.

To change your personal information you need to log into your October account. If you use the web version of the platform, click on your initials on the top-right corner to access the “edit your information” tab. On mobile, you will need to click on the setting button, the last icon on the bottom of welcome screen in the app. Have a look at the screenshots below to get an impression.

For a change of e-mail address 📧

You can click on the email address field and enter your new email address. Make sure you enter your new email address in the right format.

For your security, we have set a multi-factor authentication to confirm the change (6-digit code sent by SMS or biometrical verification, such as TouchID of FaceID). This step aims at ensuring that only you can make the change.

Following the email change request, an activation link will be sent to your new email address to confirm the change and an email confirming the change will also be sent to your previous inbox. If you receive such an email, but you didn’t do the change? Please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

For a change of phone number 📱

Click on the phone number field and enter your new phone number.

For your security, we have set a multi-factor authentication to confirm the change (6-digit code sent by email or biometrical verification and security question). This step aims at ensuring that only you can make the change.

To verify the new phone number, a 6-digit-code is sent to this number. If you have entered the code correctly, your phone number is changed and you will receive a confirmation email. If you receive such an email, but you didn’t do the change? Please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

For a change of postal address 🏡

Click on the postal address field and enter your new postal address:

  • If you do not find your address in the drop down list, click on “Can’t find my address?” to introduce your complete address manually.

  • If you intend to change your country of tax residency, you will need to reach out to [email protected].

Then, click on the button save the information to pass to the change verification process.

If you have entered the code correctly, your postal address is changed and you will receive a confirmation email. If you receive such an email, but you didn’t do the change? Please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Change your personal information with our help

This isn’t the case for the Change of IBAN yet. For security reasons, the October team performs a verification when you require a modification of your personal information:

  • For a change of IBAN 🏦, please send a bank statements in your name with your new IBAN to [email protected] along with your birthdate and birthplace (security measure).

Change of password

You can change your password:

1. By logging in to your October account with your current password and choosing a new password in the Security tab of your personal area,

2. By clicking on "Forgot your password?" on the login page.
